I was among the many who attended the homecoming service for my good friend Harold Akin.

Harold was one of those rare folks that could be counted on to help anyone, anywhere, anytime….and always with a smile. He will be really missed.

It was a wonderful service with Pastor Bobby Briggs and former Pastor Buddy Drake speaking. Both were close friends of Harold and they made it so personal and uplifting.

Buddy’s dad, Alvin, was a good friend of mine and we visited on many occasions. Alvin was so proud of Buddy and talked about him often.

The older I get, the more I enjoy looking back to the “good old days.” Let’s look back to the year….
