Jonathan Walden, Allen FFA Advisor, was very proud of his FFA students and the 4-H kids at the recent Pontotoc County Livestock Show.

He said, “If you want to see how a team works together you need to see the Allen show team. Everyone pitches in. Wins are awesome, but even in defeat we pick up our own. We all have high expectations, but at the end of the day we care for each other and support each other on the team.

“I can honestly say, not very many groups are like what we have growing and thriving in Allen. This is a special group that has a high ceiling. One more show to go, and we regroup and start the new show season!”

The Allen teams brought home:

Two Grand Champions: Wether Goat - Kamlyn Cundiff, and Doe Goat - Maddix Walden

Four Reserve Grand Champions: Wether Goat - Maebrey Wallace, Market Lamb - McCrae Walden, Breeding Ewe - McCrae Walden, and Rabbit Meat Pen - Emma Tomb

Four Showmanship Champions - Senior Goat Showman - Kamlyn Cundiff, Senior Calf Showman - Maycee Howard, Junior Goat Showman - McCrae Walden, and Junior Sheep Showman - McCrae Walden

Three Reserve Showmanship Champions: Senior Goat Showman - Maebrey Wallace, Junior Calf Showman - Maebree Howard, and Junior Goat Showman - Maddix Walden

Several Breed Champions, class winners, and numerous of students made premium sale.
