Plans for the 2021 Allen Alumni Weekend are in the works by the committee. As always, the event is scheduled for Fathers’ Day weekend, June 18 ^th and 19 ^th .

Friday starts off with the Golf Scramble at the Seminole Golf Course. The cost is $50 (cash only) per person for the 4-man teams with a 9:00 am start time. Winner will get a cash prize, plus there will be prizes for the longest drive and closest to the pin. An extra $5 for Mulligan/Unlimited. Please call by June 14 ^th to play. That evening, June 18 ^th , will be the evening on Main with music, games and food booths. Food booths so far are Indian Tacos, Sno Cones, Cotton Candy, Funnel Cakes, homemade Ice cream and much more. The Allen Fire Department will have their dunk tank. We are currently looking to see if anyone wants to host a horseshoe tournament. And then mostly tere will be a whole lot of visiting. Several individual classes are planning reunions including the Class of 1960, who will be celebrating their 61 st reunion at the former Kimbrough Insurance office building (more recently Shredders and the Cajun Corner) at 6:00 pm.

Singing on the main stage will be Jimmy, Doug and the boys; Allen’s own Connor Wilson will also perform that night. During the intermission the Allen Baseball Boosters will be hosting a Pie Auction, Lindsey Hisaw is heading up that effort.

Saturday morning kicks off with the traditional Nancy McDougal Memorial Pancake Breakfast. Money from the breakfast, booth rental and basketball games go to supply Alumni Scholarships to deserving Allen gradulates.

Then the games will begin. Alumni are invited to participate in the baseball and basketball games. Emily Howard will be in charge of the basketball game and Chad Colbert will be hosting the Alumni baseball game.

And be sure to place your order soon for a 2021 Alumni T-Shirt. The shirts are Gildan soft style, your choice of Black or Grey, 100% pre-shrunk, and semi-fitted. Cost is $15 for sizes S-XL and $17 for 2XL and up. Money is due at the time of ordering.
