Out &About
On Tuesday, February 15th , about 6:00 a.m., the Finneys (Aaron and Betty), along with Paul and Jennie Evett, headed out for Ardmore.
Going through Davis, they went close by where their youth usually attend church camp then, winding up the Arbuckle Mountains, they saw the big windmills at work. Coming to Springer, they drove by the church where Aaron pastored 18 years ago, saw the parsonage where they lived and the school where Isabel started kindergarten and Leonard 1st grade.
Then it was on up to north Ardmore to the day surgery where Betty had work done on her face. Afterwards they met with Pastor Ray Gibbs and wife Janette for lunch at the Sizzling Sirloin. Pastor Gibbs and family live in Dickson and pastor the Market Place Church here.
On the way home they passed by the Gene Autry Museum at Gene Autry, Oklahoma. They were amazed to see that on the First Baptist Church sign the same pastor is still there as when Aaron was there.
It was on to Sulphur where Jennie had a drink of the water and liked it!
