Generation Z is here

The Flu “ain’t” finished with us yet. It’s usually winding down by March but not this year. About 36 million Americans have had experience with this flu so far. Not all came out OK on this in spite of a vaccine that helped a lot with this season’s bug. Thirty-one thousand deaths have resulted this year, so far and now we are told the nasty bug has mutated into a second wave which is now busy sweeping the country. And yes, the vaccine helps on all of it. Some are taking a second shot to boost their resistance.

Measles is sweeping the land, too. This is a direct result of the attitude of young parents toward immunizations. Mumps and other childhood diseases are growing in frequency, too, and officials are seeking ways to make it harder for parents to skip shots. And while authorities are hoping that the oncoming batch of parents, known as Generation Z take their places in society, “Parents” will be more responsible about things like this, I’ve got some news for you.

Generation Z are and will be full of surprises. For one thing, 37% of these group don’t approve of capitalism. Socialistic ideas sound good to them however. Although they aren’t too sure what a capitalist is, they are pretty sure the Capitalists are running the country and are hoarding up the money for themselves and making victims and slaves out of ordinary long suffering citizens such as themselves. Karl Marx is dancing a jig hearing that and no, they don’t know who he was either.

Other things you might not know about our Generation Z is that they are about 50-50 white and black. Thirty-eight percent think global warming is a real threat to man’s existence. A majority of Generation Z want gun control. Strict ones at that. Voter age? It should be dropped to age 16 they tell us. They do favor big government as government since it is the “thing” that issues welfare checks, Social Security and other benefits. When asked where the government will get all this money they remind you that the government prints it.

What do our Generation Z’s think of the current government, or specifically, Donald Trump. Sixty percent of the “Z’s” like and approve of Trump and his policies. I didn’t see that the Generation Z’s liked Trump’s Wall but I suppose they do since they like the “Donald” at the rate of 60%. I can’t find anything about how Generation Z people feel about Nancy Pelosi but due to their ambiguous type of thought it could go either way. But I did see Nancy Pelosi’s statement that she would not try to impeach Donald Trump. Interesting. She may be looking back at the Bill Clinton impeachment and how it hurt the ones that pushed it and wants to avoid the backlash that would be sure to swarm after such a political act. Or she may just have a fear of these young Generation Z folks. They might give her the “heave-ho” since they favor Trump.

So, what to do? If I were Pelosi I would keep my finger on the machine that prints 100 dollar bills. It looks like we are sure going to need a lot more of them to float the expectations of an on-coming group of voters called Generation Z. I suggest we send an investigative committee to Venezuela and see how they did printing extra money and see if it had any adverse effects on Venezuela’s overall economics and political stability.

Have a good weekend and be sure and go to church Sunday. Especially if you’re a member of Generation Z.
