The Senior Citizen of the Week honored last Wednesday is Charles Speir. Charles has lived in Allen since July 1 of 1974 when he and his wife took possession of the Allen OTASCO store, moving here from Hurst, Texas.

Charles is a 1956 graduate of Okemah High School. He served in the U.S. Army as an E-5 doing battalion maintenance and with the 49 ^th Division of the National Guard. Prior to coming to Allen he worked for a Buick and a Pontiac car dealership; he has held thre jobs in over 60 years.

The Speirs have two children, one grandson and three greatgranddaughters.

When asked, Charles said his favorite part of the Allen Nutrition Site is eating and visiting. If he could live anywhere in the world, he would choose Allen.

Now in effect, the Allen Nutrition is “pick up only” due to the increase in Covid levels.

Anyone 60 year of age or over is invited to partake of the meals which are served free of charge but a $2 donation is suggested and appreciated.
