A Note from Allen Public Schools

Posted in:

As we walked into the school halls today, we are blessed and eager to get back to our “Normal” just like you. We believe that our students need to be in school because they do better academically, socially, and emotionally when they are in our classrooms daily.

For our school to remain open, we as a community must be diligent in monitoring symptoms and exposures.

Please make sure that you as a parent are monitoring your child daily before sending them to school for any symptoms of COVID-19. Though the symptoms are different in each case, we would rather them stay home with a scratchy throat and find out it’s strep or allergies than take the chance of infecting their classmates or teachers with COVID-19. If you have been exposed, please follow OHDS guidelines for quarantine and communicate with us as soon as possible. For us to guarantee the health of students and staff, we must work together to stop the spread.

What you do at home directly affects our ability to remain in school. If our families practice the proper safeguards, it will help us keep our students safe and our classrooms open.
