It wasn’t the game the Mustangs wanted to end the regular season; but as they say, tomorrow is a new day. Allen fell to Mounds 45-0.

The Mustangs will travel to Hominy on Friday for the opening round of the Class A playoffs. Kickoff is slated for 7:00 p.m.

Hominy is District A-5 champion and enter the game with a 10-0 record. Allen ended the regular season in fourth place in District A-6 with a record of 6-4.

“It certainly wasn’t our night, but there is nothing we can do about that now. This week we look forward to the Hominy game, work hard and see how it goes.”

The Mustangs ran 48 plays and racked up 65 yards of offense. Mounds ran 45 plays and netted 494 yards.

Freshman Kayd Bell took most of the carries (23) for 31 yards. He also had 2 catches for 30 yards. Quinton Walker had 2 catches for 3 yards and Coyt Bell one catch for 8 yards. Walker had 2 punt returns for 30 yards and a kickoff return for 20 yards. Quinn Corum had 5 punts for an average of 32.2 yards a punt.
