Mustangs Season Ends in Area
“If you want a happy ending, that depends, of course, on where you stop your story.” The Allen Mustangs basketball season stopped its story a win away from a happy ending. Everything seemed to be lining up for the story to continue to the State Tournament, but the story took a sick twist. The injury bug caught up with Allen and made them change their game plan.
The Allen men entered the Area tournament in the winners bracket to face a very athletic Liberty team. They started the game red hot hitting 4 three pointers in the first quarter alone and the Mustangs found themselves in a 22-7 hole they could never climb out off. Eight Mustangs figured in on the scoring in the 6534 loss.

The Mustangs traded bucket with Rattan most of the second and third quarter before Rattan ran out the clock and handed Allen the 43-29 loss.

All of those guys are leaders who made our team better every day,” said Coach Greg Mills
