The Allen Mustangs were routed Friday night by division foe Wewoka, 61-0.

The Mustangs had four players out, however, and started their third quarterback of the season.

Chad Milne started in place of Brayden Tatum, who became the starting quarterback after Garrett Nix was injured and is out for the season.

The undefeated Tigers -- ranked fourth in the state in Class A -- have a history of high-scoring games this season including 71, 76 and 55 points against Mounds, Okemah and Liberty, respectively.

And the Mustangs were held to just 132 total yards, their lowest total of the season.

Allen received the ball first, and, during a drive which included a long run by junior Shawn Husband, punched through into the red zone. However, an Allen fumble which was recovered by the Tigers ended the drive at Wewoka’s one yard line.

The Tigers then drove the field for a touchdown and a two-point conversion.

Allen’s ensuing drive ended with a punt, which the Tigers returned for a touchdown and then a two-point conversion to make it 16-0 going into the second quarter.

And it didn’t get any better for the Mustangs as Wewoka scored another 16 points in the second quarter, 22 points in the third, and seven points in the fourth.

The Mustangs (4-4/2-3) will host Savannah (2-4/1-3) Friday for a district game against the Bulldogs. Friday is also Senior Night. The game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
