inspections. He said while the Fire Marshal has yet to inspect the building, the OCIB did and they passed with no problems.
“The units for the roof should be here close to the end of the week,” McKerley said. “So, with that in mind, we’re going to start one side sheetrock on most of your walls on the inside. We can still do that before the Fire Marshal gets here.”
He said they are 70 percent complete, and the brick work is complete.
“Brick really looks nice on that building” McKerley said. “At your elementary school, we’re at about 98 percent on building. The HVAC ductwork is built, the units should be here next week. The studs will be here around the 11th , we’ll start putting studs up on the inside of the building, glass and doors have been measured, so they’ll be making those as we speak.”
McKerley said all metal frames are on site.
“The electric and plumbing, they’ll do their rough in just as soon as the studs are up,” he said. “And, there’s not many walls inside, so that should go really quickly.”
McKerley said with the junior high, they have everything sitting in the parking lot.
“We have the building, the retrofit roof package, all the parts and pieces. We’re going to start on that, around the 17th is when they’re going to start the building erection. We’ve got all the concrete poured. We have the curbs on site for all the HVAC units, same color as your roof. So, things should start running pretty quickly on that one after the 17th .”
Board member Jami Rinehart asked McKerley when he thought the elementary project would be complete.
“I’d say, it’ll probably be three or four months,” McKerley replied. “ I’m guessing.”
