We would like to invite everyone to come and enjoy Sunday breakfast with us at 9:00 am and stay for church at 10:00 am.

We are continuing to look at the two greatest commandments, and what it means to LOVE your neighbor. This week we will look at “Love is not rude, and self-seeking,” Love is careful not to pass the bounds of decency: It behaves not unseemly; it does nothing that is base or vile. It behaves with kindness, courtesy and good will towards all men. Love is an utter enemy to selfishness: Seeks not its own, does not inordinately desire nor seek its own praise, or honor, or profi t, or pleasure. Love never seeks its own to the hurt of others, or with the neglect of others. It often neglects its own for the sake of others; prefers their welfare, and satisfaction, and advantage, to its own. It would not advance, nor enrich nor gratify itself, at the cost and damage of others.

by Matthew Henry

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a “’Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, Love never fails.”

Matthew 22:37-40 “’Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

Please come and learn with us what it means to love like Jesus loves!
