We would like to invite you to come and join us for Sunday breakfast at 9:00 am and stay for church at 10:00 am.

“Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love.” Ephesians 4:2

This week we will look at what “Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preservers” means: Love is apt to believe well of all, to entertain a good opinion, to judge well, believe well, to hope well. Happy is the man who has this heavenly fire glowing in his heart, flowing out of his mouth and spreading its warmth over all! How lovely a thing would Christianity appear to the world, if those who profess it would walk by this divine principle? If only we would pay due regard to the command laid out for us. John 13:34,35 “A new commandment give I to you, that you love one another, as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this shall all men know that you are my disciples.”

by Matthew Henry

We pray for God to love through us because,” without love, we gain nothing.”

“If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames; but have not love, I gain nothing.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres, Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

TWO GREATEST COMMANDMENTS

“’Love the lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.’All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Matthew 22:37-40
