The February 9, 2023 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from December business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically. The monies they reported this period represent sales from December 16th to 31st and estimated sales from January 1st to the 15th.

Locally, Allen’s reported a gain of $1,835.09 in Sales Tax over the same period last year. Receipts for 2023 totaled $18,924.10 while last year’s income from Sales Tax was $17,089.01. Ada, Atwood, Calvin, Francis and Gerty also posted gains, Holdenville was the only area town with a drop in revenue. Ada increased week long and we are hoping he will be ready for the game Friday. He is tough so if there is any way he can be out there he will give a shot.”
