J.D. Cosper Passes Away

J D Cosper passed away on December 20, 2018 at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma City. He was born July 17, 1932 to George H. Cosper and Jewel McKnight Cosper in the country between Non and Stuart in Hughes County Oklahoma.

He began his schooling at the Pleasant Ridge School and in 1940 entered the Allen Public School. He graduated from Allen High School with the class of 1951. He attended East Central University before entering the United States Army. After his service time was over, he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma where he worked in the pipeline industry, then later moving to Oklahoma City and working as a self-employed businessman until his retirement.

J D was preceded in death by his parents; son, Joe David; sister, Maxine Bell; and brothers-in-law, Jack Cagle, Richard Bell, Norris Fletcher and Bill Wilkerson.

He is survived by his children Jerry, Sherry and Mark and their spouses; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings and their spouses Lily Cagle, Lettie and Freeman Dilbeck, Ruth and Ray Finch, Carolyn and Wendell Kleiss, Christine Fletcher, Edith and Vic Burgess, Pat Wilkerson, and George and Elva Cosper. J D also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.

His wishes were to be cremated with no services held.
