Allen is busy preparing for its 2023 Homecoming this week.

The traditional Homecoming Parade will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 20th, and be followed by a Pep Rally. Line up is 1:30 and the parade route is through downtown Allen. The parade will feature the four 2023 Homecoming Queen candidates and their escorts. Representing the senior class are Ava Laden and Garrett Nix; juniors are Isabel Velasquez and Brendan Linker; sophomores Addison Prentice and Curt Carlos; and freshmen Lily Laden and Gus Matthews.

Flu shots will be available from 9:30 to 4:30 that day, courtesy of the Chickasaw Nation. The vaccinations will be given at the Allen City Hall, downtown on East Broadway. Each person receiving a shot will be registered for a chance to win $50.

Coronation will be held 6 p.m., prior to the Allen/ Savanna game. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m.

Trick or Treat will be observed in the Town of Allen on Saturday, October 28.
