Glendene Takes Trip to Branson

Posted in:

Plans to go to Branson had been in the making for a year and finally Glendene Griffin’s favorite guy, Daniel O’Donald, was coming to perform so daughter Leah Tidwell called and arranged for tickets for Glendene and her sister, Violet Long, to attend two shows. Daughters Leah Tidwell, Marla Tinkler and Pam Irwin were also making the trip to Branson and it was planned for one of the girls to go with them to each performance.

Finally time came to go, leaving on Sunday, but on Saturday Violet came down sick. Naturally her daughter, Pam, didn’t want to make the trip without her so Marla, Leah and Glendene decided to go on their own. Leah had rented a house and purchased tickets for another show.

The three ladies attended the Presley’s Country Jubilee, got to see beautiful lights, shopped, and ate lots. The house they rented had a full kitchen so Leah fixed full breakfasts each day. It was an enjoyable trip and Glendene got to hear lots of laughter. They returned home on Wednesday.

Last Thursday, son Bruce Griffin, escorted his mother to Norman for a family Thanksgiving at Leah and Todd Tidwell’s home. Glendene had all of her kids and grandkids together except for Dylan and Ashton Tinkler who had to work. Glendene was privileged to hold her newest great-grandchild, four month old Iverson.

After all that Glendene says, “there’s no place like home, for sure!”
