Allen Chamber of Commerce Hunt

Area youngsters need to get their baskets ready for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. This year’s event, sponsored by the Allen Chamber of Commerce, will be held at

12:00 noon on Saturday, March 23rd,

in the Allen City Park.

Rain date for the Buck Gilmore Memorial Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 30th.

All children in grade 3 and younger are invited to participate. Students in Kindergarten thru 3rd grade will hunt in the south half of the park; Pre-K students and pre-schoolers will be hunting in the northern half of the park and each child in this division will be allowed to have one adult assist them.

Let us Egg Your Yard!

We are continuing our 5 year tradition of Egging area kids lawns. The tradition in Allen started when Covid began and kept kids away from area egg hunts. Each year the list of participants grows. On Saturday evening March 30, volunteer bunnies will travel to the homes of families with kids 12 & under to help the Easter Bunny with his deliveries and hide Glow in the Dark Eggs. Just tell us how many kids are in the home and physical address of where to hide the eggs (sorry we have to keep it pretty close to city limits, but if we have hid there before we will come back) we will try to acknowledge each request plus any hiding instructions.

• 10 Eggs per child plus one Gold dollar pize egg for each household will be put out by our volunteer bunnies Saturday evening, March 30 from 6-9 p.m. • Yard will need to be free of any animals when we come by • We will need the number of kids and location by Friday, March 29. Guess what time it is??? Scavenger hunt time!!! We are doing things a teeny bit differently this year. We will still be hunting for a “prize” egg (no specific color), however, the grand prize is not in a Golden Egg. Instead, it is an AWESOME Easter basket filled with fun prizes, cash, and gift cards/ certificates worth over $500!!!

The Easter Basket is on display at Farmers State Bank - Happy Hunting!!! Remember please respect peoples property while hunting, the egg is not on private property.
