Freezing cold weather is forecast for the area so you need to be taking precautions.

Of course dripping faucets may be needed to keep your pipes from freezing. Stock up on the estentials and be prepared to stay inside for a few days.

The town employees have made sure the backup generators are ready at the water wells and sewer plants.

If it is too cold in your house the Allen Library will be open as a warming station during the day. If you need help staying warm in the evening arrangements can be made.

If the town loses power the Allen First Baptist Family Life Center will be opened and a generator will provide power to the building. If that happens everyone is welcome to come and get warm.
