FOR THE FIRST TIME IN A LONG TIME FOUR OF THE SUMNER “KIDS” attended the annual Gerty Days Reunion. Pictured are: (seated) Twilla, and Loie Kay. (standing) Earnest and Claude. They are the children of the late Grover and Iva Sumner.

WE TOLD THE GERTY GROUP THAT WE WANTED TO GET A PICTURE OF ALL THE PAST “HONOR” STUDENTS. These are the six that showed up. However, they did not bring any proof with them. Perhaps they thought we said “ornery” instead of “honor” students. Pictured are Bud Lawson, James Summers, Lonnie Rainey, Louise Battershell, Charles Hendrix and Bill Chisum.
