Fugitives Captured after Altercation in Allen
There was a lot of excitement in Allen this past Thursday, June 13th , when officers from the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force, assisted by Allen police, Pontotoc County deputies and Lighthorsemen, recaptured escaped convict Adam Quilimaco. Also dispatched were Mercy EMS and the Ada Rescue Unit.
It was around 4:00 pm Wednesday that Quilimaco had walked away from a Logan County inmate work crew. Logan County is located just north of Oklahoma City with the county seat of Guthrie. It was suspected that he was picked up in a pre-arranged meeting by his girlfriend, Melissa Grayson.
During the Allen incident, Quilimaco’s companion, Grayson, was shot by an offi cer.
The incident occurred when the couple, who had acquired a stolen credit card, were attempting to use the card in Allen at Merriman’s Country Store. The card, which was denied, was being traced by authorities and, being alerted to its use, they quickly converged on the couple parked behind the local convenience store.
Grayson pulled a pistol and was shot multiple times by a Task Force member. The medical helicopter was called and she was taken to OU Medical Center, Oklahoma City, where she underwent surgery for four gunshot wounds.
Quilimaco surrendered to authorities and was taken to the Pontotoc County Jail. He was serving time on charges of robbery and possession of stolen property. He has been arrested on several felony charges in multiple counties including failure to register as a sex offender.
Grayson also had a warrant out for her arrest for failure to appear in court after a conviction of child neglect and drug possession.
