Fire Consumes mobile home
Allen Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 7254 CR 3677 on Sunday evening, January 14th. The mobile home, owned by Tommy and Carolyn Sanders, was the residence of their daughter however no one was home at the time of the fire. The fire was caused by the unsafe use of propane to heat the home.
Allen Engine 1 arrived on scene nine minutes after the initial report. At arrival there were heavy flames coming from the front of the residence.
Allen Engine 1 started Fire Tac & Search. Nine Allen fire fighters were on scene with five emergency vehicles. Ada Engine 10 and Pontotoc County Emergency Management also assisted. Allen cleared the scene at 1:45 a.m. Monday morning. Subfreezing temperatures added to the difficulty of fighting the fire.
There were no injuries during this incident.
