FCCLA’s Successful Year

Posted in:

What a Year! FCCLA students are resilient, determined, confident, and competent in their competitive events. Much hard work and many obstacles were overcome and the results are awesome for Allen High School. Their events were virtual instead of in-person, the events were filmed, uploaded and then judged and scored. It was stressful and unfamiliar, but the results show the professionalism of our Allen students and FCCLA chapter.

Jamie Denbow and Alex Williams earned first place with their Professional Presentation “Unconscious Bias: Past and Present”

Maddox Wofford earned first place with her entry on Career Investigation: Speech - Language Pathologist.

Another 1 st place was earned by Lindsey Chapman for Level 2 Creed Speaking and Interpretation.

Christina Denbow represented the Allen Chapter by competing in Level 1 Creed speaking.

Kaili Childers earned 2 nd place in her division for her Children’s Literature entry featuring everyday heroes.

Madison Prentice earned 3 rd place for her book also featuring everyday heroes. The theme for this event was selected by the State office and FCCLA members wrote their book around the topic.

Ty O’Daniel place 1 st in his class for New Member Facts.

Advisor Julie Knighten could not be more proud of the performance of the Allen Chapter.
