The weather was perfect Saturday, maybe just a little windy, as Allen’s youngest residents gathered at the City Park for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event, sponsored by the Allen Chamber of Commerce, had a great turnout and lots of money was passed out to the hunters.

Bringing in the big prize eggs, worth $5 each, were Wylder Parker, Ryn Parker, and Abraham Rowe. Finding $2 eggs were Haven Ward, Jessie Kuchynka, Anniston King, and Cash Griffin. The $1 eggs were found by Luciana Jones, Jude Parker, Ryn Parker, Raegan Slater, and Kowen Jones found two $1 eggs.

Special thanks to those who assisted in making the day possible. Hiding eggs were Beyla Sorrels, Patricia Spray, Donna Wainscott, Jim and Candice Wilson, Easton Ledo, Keenan Walker, Ethan Holcomb, Kayla Stephens and Dianna Brannan. Awarding the hunters with their cash winnings were Allen sorority members Kathy Guyton, Jessie Sue Boyd, Terry Riddle, Tammy Randles and Cindy Davis. And, marking the eggs and having the money ready for the day was Betty Speir – who may (or may not) have been assisted by her husband, Charles.
