Jeffery Pembrook of Holdenville competed in the 2024 United Houndsmen Association March Madness Youth Hunt on Saturday, April 13th, placing 3rd out of the 40 contestants. The hunt was held in Marietta. He is pictured with his dog, “Skunk River Rock”, which he got from County Commissioner Kelly Campbell, who is very helpful to the youth in this sport. Saturday’s win earned them over $1,000 in prizes and $600 cash.

Also pictured is Don Sims of Allen, coowner of the dog, who has been so helpful in taking Jeffery to competition hunts that are out of the area. Jeffery is the son of James and Kara Pembrook. He has five brothers and one sister, and they all participate in the hunts as well. Jeffery is a ninth-grade student at Holdenville High School.
