The Allen Chamber of Commerce met Tuesday, March 15 ^th , at the Farmers State Bank with ten members in attendance.

Upcoming events discussed included the Annual Buck Gilmore Memorial Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled this year for April 9 ^th . Always popular with the “younger crowd”, the event will be held in the City Park and eggs will be hidden for children in 3 rd grade and below to hunt.

The election of the 2022 officers was quickly dispensed with when a motion to retain the current officers was approved. This means Eric Pierce will remain president, Charles Speir, vice president, Cindy Davis, secretary and Betty Speir, treasurer.

Flags will be placed on the street for the upcoming holidays of Memorial Day, Flag Day and the 4 th of July. Appreciation of those willing to put out and pick up the flags was expressed.

The appearance of the town was also discussed and while it is hoped that residents will pick up trash on their property and street, a work day was talked about.
