Big Fun in Allen Last Saturday
Saturday kicked off with a cornhole tournment and we will get a list of winners for next week.
Town came to life around 4 when our second annual Celebration parade marched through main street. A stream of firetrucks, decorated trucks, go carts, bicycles, horses, side-by-sides delighted the spectators lining the street.
Shifting gears because of weather concerns, the celebration was moved indoors where we had bull riding, turtle races, water slides, balloon toss, egg toss, wiffleball, archery tag, and bull riding. We ate pulled pork sandwiches, drinks, chips and watermelons until we were stuffed.
The RCB Band put on an amazing performance. There was lots of giggling, visiting and laughter filling the firestation that night. Followed by a great fireworks display.
The group that gets this together is a bunch of volunteers that work hard to make sure everything goes right. Lindsay Linker, Lorissa King, April Whitehead, Jordyn Parker, Jami Rinehart, Braylee Dickerson, Jake Linker, Colton Howard, Leon Moore and Dayne Parker worked for days to make sure everyone had a great time.
Thanks to our sponsors, J&S Exchange, Allen Campers, Country Store Junction, C&D Logistics, Pre-Mc Drilling, James Frazier of the Choctaw Nation, The Chickasaw Nation, Alan and Dottie King and the Oklahoma Pork Council.
