“We love this week because it is good for everyone’s soul,” she said. “Our elementary school has been selected for the 2024 Choctaw Summer Learning Program again, and enrollment will begin soon. We are working on gearing up for upcoming state tests and checking growth and readiness for our students.”

Mayhue said the gifted and talented students have begun working with their robotics curriculum and look forward to sharing what they are learning this spring with the board at a later meeting.

The board approved the consent agenda, which included the minutes of the January 8, 2024, regular meeting; the fiscal year 20232024 purchase orders and encumbrances: General Fund numbers 255 through 271 ($78,960.63); Child Nutrition Fund numbers 36 and 37 ($125,000); Transportation Bond Fund number 1 ($19,623.29); Treasurer’s report; and the Activity Fund report.
