Allen Basketball Senior Night 2022 was held Tuesday, February 8th, and honored four seniors who have been involved in the school’s basketball program. These seniors have attended Allen for a long time and all have contributed not only to this program but many other activities in the school.

Jacob Beavert is the son of Winston and Kelly Beavert and has two sisters. He plays post for the Mustangs and wears the number 44. His favorite basketball memory is when Chad Milne made a threepoint buzzer-shot to beat Vanoss in the Area Tournament. Jacob plans to go to Oklahoma State University and major in Fire Protection and Safety Engineering, as well as minor in Entrepreneurship.

Cheyene McCarn is the daughter of Michael and Teri McCarn and has one brother. She wears the number 31 for the Lady Mustangs and plays the guard position. Her favorite memory of basketball happened one day in practice. Taylor went to shoot a jump shot which happened to be an airball that hit Coach Kevin Slabaugh’s coffee. Needless to say, the coffee went all over the floor. After graduation, Cheyene plans to attend the University of Oklahoma and pursue a degree in Nursing.

Taylor Harrison is the daughter of Melissa Walker and Jeremiah Cully. She has two sisters and one brother. Taylor plays guard for the Lady Mustangs and wears the number double zero. Playing basketball with her sister and two favorite cousins this year will go down as her favorite memory. Taylor’s future plans are to attend Pontotoc Technology Center for Nursing and earn her certification as a CNA.

William Kaminski is the son of Chad and Jill Kaminski and has one sister. He is the center for the Mustangs and wears the number 33. His favorite basketball memory was getting his first dunk during warm-ups at the Latta JV game. Will’s future plans include attending Pontotoc Technology Center and obtain certification in the Fire Academy. He plans to work with the possibility of joining the military.
