The Allen High School Academic Team competed at the Class 2A State Tournament last Saturday, January 28th, at Rose State College in Oklahoma City.

In the first two rounds they defeated Caddo and Okarche respectively. In the third round, they met up with the eventual State Champion, Regent Prep, and lost to them by 30 points (3 questions). In the next game, they met up with Drummond and couldn’t pull off the win. This loss left them in 3rd place. This is an outstanding accomplishment and Allen should be very proud of these students. Those competing at state were: Captain—Maebrey Wallace, Keenan Walker, Jack Todd, Taylor Wood, Kelsey Hurt, Camdyn Williams, Brooklyn Sanders, Easton Ledo and Ty O’Daniel. The academic team is coached by Lesli Costner.
