The Allen Mustangs lost their final game of 2021 season Friday night to the Konawa Tigers, 38-20.

The game was competitive in the first half, and the Mustangs even led at halftime. However, Konawa was first to score.

After Allen’s first drive ended with a punt deep in its own territory, the Tigers drove the remainder of the field and scored on a six-yard rushing touchdown. But Allen responded with a drive of its own, moving the ball 65 yards for a touchdown.

Starting from the Allen 35 yard line, Shawn Husband gained five yards on a first down rush but was stopped at the line of scrimmage on the following play.

Husband then took a third and five handoff and rushed for seven yards to the Konawa 47. Davyn Wilson gained two yards on first down, then Quinton Walker gained three on second down.

The following play resulted in a third-down conversion when Wilson completed a pass to Walker for 10 yards.

Emmett Koonce then gained three yards on first down, but the following play resulted in negative three yards.

On third and 10 at the Konawa 38 yard line, Wilson passed to Walker for a 38-yard touchdown to knot the score at 6. The following two-point conversion attempt, however, was unsuccessful.

Konawa then scored again on its ensuing drive to make it 12-6, Tigers. However, Allen answered in the second quarter with a short drive.

The Mustangs took over on the Konawa 30 after a Tigers punt from deep in their own territory.

Davyn Wilson passed to Emmett Koonce for a 15-yard gain on first down, then Wilson gained seven yards on a keeper.

After a five-yard penalty on the defense gave Allen a fresh set of downs at the three yard line, and an incomplete pass on first down, Shawn Husband scored on a three-yard rush.

The two-point conversion was successful, making the score 14-12, Mustangs.

Before the halftime break, Allen scored again after a 46-yard drive to make it 20-12, Mustangs. However, Konawa also scored again before the half to make it 20-18, Allen.
