Filing took place this week for three seats on the Allen City Council. Wards 1, 3 and 5 were up for election.

As of press time on Wednesday afternoon, incumbents Delwayne Johnson in Ward 1 and Dianna Brannan in Ward 5 had filed to remain on the Board. Also fi ling for the Ward 1 seat was Mike McCarn.

The position of Ward 3, currently held by Joy Anderson, has been applied for by April Whitehead. Ms. Anderson stated she would not seek re-election.

The filing period closed at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 6^th . The citywide election will be held April 2^nd .
