The Allen School is starting a Band Booster Club this year. Band Boosters is a parent volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the students in the music program. The booster provides operational logistic for all aspects of the program, fundraising, food preparation and necessary support to run the program. This will allow Mr. Bettencourt to concentrate on the teaching of the students and we encourage all parents to come out to be involved with their son’s/daughter’s music activity. The boosters provide much needed support to operate the band in an efficient manner.

​ One of the most important parts of their efforts will be fundraising. Fundraising efforts provide the program and the necessary funds for new instruments and repairs, uniform upkeep, and support equipment and music books that keeps the program running smoothly.

​Participation is vital to reach the school’s musical and financial goals. There are many ways beyond financial donations to help with the music programs. Volunteering and actively participating in music education is imperative. To have a successful program, your participation in our major band performances such as the state fair, competitions and Frontier City is necessary.

​ A schedule for the first Band Booster meetings will be on the school calendar in the band section. All band parents are encouraged to attend and help guide the future success of the program. These meetings will be about the band and its activities and provide an opportunity to socialize with other band parents and direct questions to Mr. Bettencourt.
