Thirty-seven young adults have completed the state requirements for graduation and will officially become alumni of Allen High School this Saturday morning, May 13th, as they cross the stage and receive their diplomas. The commencement ceremony will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the High School Gymnasium on east main street.

The Class of 2023 will enter to the sounds of Pomp & Circumstance. The invocation will be given by Brooklyn Sanders, followed by the National Anthem.

The first of the Valedictory Addresses will be given by Keenan Walker and Maebrey Wallace, followed by Valedictorian Maggie Yarbrough and Salutatorian Aniston Weeks.

Keenan Walker, president of the senior class, will make the traditional presentation of the school key to junior class president, Kelsey Hurt.

This will be followed by Valedictory Addresses by Beckett Wells and Taylor Wood, then Brooklyn Sanders and Alexis Slabaugh.

High School Principal Steve Butcher will recognize the honors students and then Board President Kelly Hurt will present the Mustang Service Award.

Principal Butcher will present the class and Superintendent Jeff Hiatt will award each graduate their diploma. The ceremony will end with a viewing of the Senior Video and a benediction by Alexander Williams.

Serving as ushers for the class will be juniors Ava Laden, Jack Todd, Kamlyn Cundiff, Easton Ledo, Kelsey Hurt, Garrett Nix, Aiyana Husband and Riley Tomb.
