AHS Commencement Friday 7pm

Posted in:

Thirty-three young people will be crossing the stage this Friday night, May 10th, changing from Allen High School students to independent adults.

The Class of 2024 will be entering the AHS gym at 7:00 p.m. to the sound of “Pomp & Circumstance.” Following the invocation by Olivia Wallace and the National Anthem, a valedictory address will be given by Jack Todd and then the salutatorian address by Malloree Howard.

The traditional passing of the AHS key, from the senior class to the junior class, will be from Kelsey Hurt to Adam Sawatzky. Kelsey Hurt, Kamlyn Cundiff and Ava Laden will each give their valedictory speeches.

AHS Principal Steve Butcher will recognize the honor students, and the Allen School Board President, Frankie Bell, will present the Mustang Service Award. This annual award is presented to an individual who has shown outstanding loyalty and dedication to the Allen Schools.

Principal Butcher will then present the class to Superintendent Jeff Hiatt and the Board of Education, and the diplomas will be awarded.

The evening closes with the class video and benediction by Easton Ledo.

Ushers from the junior class will be Alexa Bailey, Elizabeth Boden-Null, Stoney Cully, Alex Hill, Bodrey Goodson and Cayser Nickell.
