As the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the United States continues to climb, pulic schools are doing their part to feed all children under the age of 18.

In Allen the school cafeteria ladies are passing out five days of food for all children on a once a week grab-and-go basis. This week 250 meal sacks were packed and distributed.

Meals will be available only on Wednesdays; participants will receive meals for five days. For the protection of families and staff, those picking up meals are asked to not get out of their vehicle. If they will just pull up and unlock their trunk, back door or back hatch, bags will be set inside.
