Read moreWith the 34-6 win last Friday’s on the Mustangs trip to Savanna, they secured a spot in the playoffs. “We were happy to be in the playoff picture, but we are looking for more, wins these next two weeks will let us start the playoffs on Mustang field.” Allen has a big fete in front of them this week as they travel to Hartshorne for a district contest. Hartshorne and Allen both are sitting at 4-1 in district play, looking for that second place finish behind the Stroud Tigers. Hartshorne owns a 4-3 record overall with losses to Heavner, Hennryetta and Stroud.

The win moved Allen’s record to 5-2 overall and 3-1 in district and sitting in a 3ways tie for second place in the playoff race. Stroud is sitting in the drivers seat. In second place with the Mustangs are Hartshorne and Mounds which both remain on the schedule so the team will have its fate in it own hands.
