Lots of things happen in Allen. Last weekend was Memorial Day. A time to remember. Probably, most of the churches had some sort of time Sunday morning to honor their veterans. Well, mine didn’t, but most of the time we do.

When I hear gunfi re in Allen, it’s usually some old boy that has had his patience stretched thin by a gopher that took up residence in his yard. That’s OK with me but like Sunday, a new and ambitious gopher moved into my backyard throwing dirt and making holes like he owned the place.
