Allen Public School District hereby announces that statutorily qualified individuals interested in running as a candidate for the Number Five (5) seat on the Allen Board of Education may file to run as a candidate for this seat at the Pontotoc County Election Board between the hours of 8 a.m.

The Allen Masonic Lodge would like to congratulate Wilyene Wallace, the lucky winner of the $500 grocery drawing. They also wish to thank everyone who purchased a chance. Money earned will be used to fund their programs.

The Allen City Park has a new interactive mural on all four sides of the restroom building. In collaboration with the 3rd and 4th graders at Allen Elementary School, local artist Destiny Graham designed the mural depicting local history in designs.

During the regular meeting of the Allen Board of Education held November 11th, High School/Junior High Principal Steve Butcher said Allen students who attend college after graduation have been successful and done well.

Once again, following Santa’s visit to Allen, the Allen Chamber will be giving five lucky shoppers $100 each. Tickets will soon be given out by Chamber member stores to customers who spent $5 or more on purchases. Save your tickets for the drawing!
