Last Saturday, April 1st, was a perfect day for an Easter Egg Hunt and that’s just what happened in the Allen City Park. Excited kids lined up waiting for the word to start, then the race was on to pick up as many plastic eggs as possible to put in their Easter basket. These were then cashedin for money; each egg has a monetary value thanks to the Allen Chamber of Commerce.

On March 24, 2023, Deputy Keith Wardlow and Undersheriff Trevor Teague responded to a distress call at 7460 East 147 Road in Allen, Oklahoma. The call came from Shane Varnado and his girlfriend Ashley Mauldin, who reported an assault and vehicle theft at a nearby barn located at Broadway of America and Gerty Road.
