For the 94 time, Allen Alumni will gather for a reunion. This year’s event has changed to be one day only, Saturday, June 20 , with activities happening at the Allen City Park unless otherwise noted.

Anyone who would like to help with the up-keep of the Citra Cemetery may make donation to the cemetery by taking or mailing to Farmers State Bank, Citra Cemetery Fund, PO Box 467, Allen, OK 74825. All donations will be greatly appreciated.

Due to concern over the Corona Virus, the Non Cemetery will not be holding their regular Memorial Day service this year, however the cemetery will be open for people to decorate the graves of their loved ones.

Due to the Corona Virus, the Atwood Cemetery will not hold their regular Memorial Day service. However someone will be at the cemetery collecting money for the upkeep during the holiday weekend, May 22 to 24 .

It’s with regret that the Allen Chamber of Commerce made the decision to cancel the 2020 Memorial Day service at the Allen Cemetery and the Veterans’ Luncheon.

All students entering grades 6-12 need to go to the website, allenmustangs.org, to choose classes they would like to take next year. After you go to the website, click on High School, scroll down and pick the grade you are entering.

Eastern Oklahoma State College’s 2020 Outstanding Graduate is Tanner Wofford of Allen, Oklahoma. Wofford graduated in the top 10 percent of his class with an associate degree in agricultural economics and a near-perfect grade point average.

Plans are underway to have a some form of an Allen School Reunion this summer.

The annual Masonic Lodge scholarships to two deserving Allen graduates has always used funds from the Mother’s Day luncheon as their primary source of income. This year, due to the need for “social distancing”, the Lodge will not be doing the meal but do plan to award the scholarships if possible.
