Last week was vacation time for Pat and me. So, you may ask, what do we have to vacation from? Good question but nevertheless, off we went. Went back to “Sweet Home Alabama.” No, I never lived there but my dad came west from there. A place called Gadsden.

Services for Kathy Jean Prentice, 68, Allen, were 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Bethel Free Will Baptist Church, Allen. Robert Hammonds officiated. Burial followed at Allen Cemetery.

This year’s Gerty reunion will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the community center. Doors open at 10 a.m. Bring a covered dish and enjoy visiting with everyone.

Paul and Shirlene Evett made a recent trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas to attend a birthday party for her granddaughter Ava.

Frank and Jeri Starns have returned home following a New England visit with their son and family. The trip was made to Londonderry, New Hampshire to visit with Nick, Amy, Ethan and Bella.
