A fire Sunday afternoon destroyed the home, barn, camper and possessions of Kenny Moore. The fire started inside the house and spread where it eventually ignighted some propane tanks that were outside. Fire departments from Allen (5 trucks), Atwood (2), Gerty (2) and Calvin responded to the fire.

Allen Public Schools received a grant recently that will allow the system to purchase meat from local sources.
