In whirlwind of games played Friday, Saturday and Tuesday the Allen basketball teams got some muchneeded games under belts. The girls started this week ranked 8th in Class A and the Allen men cracked the top 20 coming in at 18th Friday night’s games against Konawa both teams made a statement with big wins.

The Allen School is proud to announce the staff members that were recognized by their colleagues as Teacher of the Year, Support of the Year, and Auxiliary of the Year for the school year 2024-25. Allen Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) members developed a safe driving campaign that is geared to all students and focuses on distracted driving, driving under the influence, and seatbelt safety. They have worked hard planning everything out for 2025 and are eager to teach others about their campaign.

101 years ago, on January 14, 1924, C.C. Manuel was born to James Patrick Henry Manuel and Mattie (Arrant) Manuel in their home in Gerty, Oklahoma. For his first years of school he attended Gerty and Round Prairie. Then sadly his mother, Mattie, fell very ill and his dad was not able to keep him so his uncle and aunt, Dan and Jennie Manuel of Black Rock, took him in. He then went to school there at Black Rock and graduated from the 8th grade.
