Tyler Raney of Calvin graduate of Byng High School, has been selected to participate in the East Central University’s 2025-26 President’s Leadership Class (PLC). President Wendell Godwin made the announcement this week.

Also a special thanks to one of our favorite library patrons, Betty Finney. She is such an encourager to the kids!

The Allen Public Library hosted “Color Our World” last Wednesday, July 16th. The morning event, held from 10:00 am to 12:00 noon, was under the direction of artist Destiny Graham.

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of Christine Arlene Brogdon, 52, of Ada who has been charged with manslaughter in the first degree in the July 27, 2023 death of 48-year-old Dana Gayle Miller of Ratliff City. Dana attended Tupelo Schools and graduated from Allen High School.

The July 9, 2025 distribution of sales tax collections by the Oklahoma Tax Commission primarily represents local tax receipts from May business. Companies that remit more than $2,500 monthly in sales tax receipts are required to file and pay electronically.

New to Allen School students who will be entering grades 6 through 12 and who have not already enrolled need to do so. Registration is open July 29th through the 31st at the Allen High School Office, 9:00 to 11:00 am and 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
