Let’s start out with a few of my favorite stories I have read recently….

The Older I get, the more I like Black & White. I still enjoy the old black and white television shows and movies. As an “old timer” I can assure you, life looked better in black and white.

The cold weather kept several home from Sunday School but those of us attending shared some great “church” stories . . .

One of my all time favorite Christmas movies is “It’s A Wonderful Life.” Dayna and I watch it every December. One of my favorite quotes from the movie is when Clarence says “one man’s life touches so many others, when he’s not there it leaves an awfully big hole.”

In 1944, Congress again considered canceling the game. Then the idea came up to use it as a fundraiser for the war effort. Scheduled to return to Thompson Field, the game was moved instead to the much larger Memorial Stadium in Baltimore. To purchase tickets, a buyer had to buy a war bond.
