Service Thursday for Sam Brown
Services for Samuel Wade Brown, 18, of Allen, Oklahoma will be Thursday, August 9th , at 1:00 pm, at Ada First Baptist Church. Graveside services will follow at Lamar Community Cemetery between 3:45-4:00 pm. Light finger foods and refreshments will be served afterwards at the Lamar Community Center for family and friends to visit and gather.
Sam went to be with his Lord on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his home. He was born June 26, 2000 to Wade and Annie Brown. Sam was a vibrant young man who thrived despite his struggles with Friedreich’s Ataxia. Sam’s big brown eyes and infectious smile had an impact on everyone who knew him.
Survivors include his parents Wade and Annie Brown; his older sister Kinsey and younger sister Kathryn; grandparents Lu Langwell, Walter and Patty Brown, and Larry and Janet Renfro; great-grandmother Estelle Carlisle; and his aunts and uncles Colt and Emily Gavin, Scott and Elizabeth Ward, and Malissa Enns. He leaves behind a host of cousins he loved dearly, Jake, Dakotah, Kayli, Noah, Javen, Baylor, Andy, Aaron, Lane, Cy, and Kale Lewis. Sam also leaves his two best friends Jon Huitt of Allen, and Madison Josey of Nashville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his beloved Grandpa Larry Langwell; great-grandparents Norma and Walter Penuel, Kenneth Carlisle, Walter and Audry Brown, and Edna Schatt; cousins Matthew and Sara Gavin; and his beloved service dog, Stella.
Pallbearers will be his buddies at Oklahoma Outdoor Outreach and Jon Huitt. Funeral arrangements were made through Fisher Funeral Home in Holdenville, Oklahoma. The family asks in lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to www.curefa.org.
