Service Thursday for Bill Hill
William Franklin "Bill" Hill was born November 19,1932 innLula,Oklahoma to Leonard Joseph and Dale Allie Mel Vuna Hill. He died on August 17, 2018 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Bill was in all forms a patriot. He devoted more than 30 years to his country as he served in the US Army as well as the Army National Guard as a Chief Warrant Officer. He had a great passion for all things military and United States Patriotism.
Bill was also a hero to his family. He was incredibly proud of his children and grandchildren. If you were around him for any amount of time, it would not be long before you would hear stories about his family.
He was a graduate of Southeastern Oklahoma State University and retired as a District Manager for OG&E.
Bill is survived by his wife, Savannah; two sons, Frank Hill and wife Melanie, and Tommy Hill and wife Michele; his daughter, Denise Platt and husband Butch; as well as his step-daughter, Shawna Justice and husband Paul. He will also be missed by his eight grandchildren, Heather O'Neal and husband Jason, Jennifer Conly and husband Jarrad, Ashlee Holloway and husband Michael, Breanna Atkeson and husband Dakota, Tyler Hill , Cooper Hill and wife Erin, Caleb Hill and Trent Hill; 2 step- grandsons, Keaton and Zane Justice; nine great- grandchildren, Justice, Harley, Tristen, Lana, Cullen, Colt William, Braxton, Brayden, and Addison; a sister, Jean Johnson; and a brother, James Hill and wife Shirley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Roger Keith Hill; and eight siblings.
A service celebrating his life will beat 10:30 am on Thursday, August 23rd , at Henderson Hills Baptist Church in Edmond. Burial will be at 2:30 pm on Thursday, August 23rd , at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's honor to your local chapter of Disabled Veterans or Wounded Warriors.
