EARTHQUAKE
Did you feel it? Wednesday morning, at approximately 8:00, a 3.4 earthquake was recorded in Pontotoc County.
The US Geological Survey reported the quake was centered around 9 miles east-southeast of Ada, 5.6 miles north of Stonewall, was detected at 7:55 a.m. on August 7th.
The USGS estimated the origin point of the earthquake was 16 miles below the earth’s surface.
