Rites held for Wanda ‘Dodie’ Frederick

Wanda Lee ‘Dodie’ Frederick passed away at her home in Atwood, Oklahoma on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, one day after her 88th birthday.

Dodie is the daughter of M. H. Lively & Sarah L. (Collis) Lively, born on December 16, 1937 in Atwood, Oklahoma, where she lived her entire life. She attended Atwood schools. She was married to Johnny Frederick on February 26, 1955 in Atwood, their lifelong home. She was a member of the Atwood Church of Christ and served for a time as Mayor of Atwood. She enjoyed camping and she loved being with her family, especially her grandkids, greatgrandkids, and greatgreat- grandkids. She is preceded in death by her parents, M. H. & Sarah Lively; her husband of sixtyone years, Johnny Frederick; her brother, Glen Lively; two sonsin- law, Michael Boolin and Robby Ring.

She is survived by her son, LaWayne Frederick (Jennifer) of Atwood, and her two daughters, Brenda Ring of Atwood and Debbie Walker (Bobby) of Kullihome; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Boolin (Kellie) of Allen, Justin Boolin (Fallon) of Kullihome, Kevin Crabtree (Cherina) of Gillette Wyoming, Daniel Crabtree (Pam) of Atwood, Jala Biggs (Hardie) of Ada, Jenny Young (Sammy) of Macomb, and Jerry Frederick (Amanda) of Allen; a host of great- grandchildren and great-greatgrandchildren; one sister, Joyce Woodell of Atwood, and one sister-in-law, Carolyn Lively of Atwood; numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Graveside services were held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, 10:00am, and Dodie was laid to rest at Atwood Cemetery. Rev. Earl Scroggins was the officiating minister, and Dodie’s grandchildren served as pallbearers.
